Today’s class was a festive celebration of las fiestas — ¡en español! 

We began by introducing ourselves to new friends and getting creative with holiday crafts like mini wreaths, gingerbread houses, and ornaments — fun all around!

Next, we learned holiday vocabulary and explored traditions from the Spanish-speaking world, including la Noche de Velitas in Colombia, piñatas in México, and las 12 uvas in España. Some students even recognized these traditions already!

Then came everyone’s favorite part: decorating cookies and enjoying hot chocolate — not a crumb or drop was left behind. 🍪☕

We finished with la carrera de renos, racing a reindeer across the room, and wrapped up with a quick vocabulary recap.
